In Premier Division action from the Kitchener District Soccer League, an all-Royal City clash at the University of Guelph opened the season between the Rangers and the Oaks.

The game was still scoreless in the 90th minute until the Rangers' Richard Grzeski muscled his way to the ball and found some room just inside the post.

That was the only goal of the match as the Rangers open the KDSL season with a 1-0 victory over the Oaks.
